Layla’s father Dan Reaves was an All-America quarterback at Florida and is currently an assistant coach in the NFL.

David Reaves, quarterback coach and recruiting coordinator at South Carolina, resigned his post with the Gamecocks on Sunday and is already on the road recruiting for the Vols. He is the brother of Lane Kiffin’s wife, Layla.

“His role will be determined later,” Lane Kiffin said of hiring brother-in-law Reaves. “That was valuable for me to take a guy who was a recruiting coordinator in the SEC and put him on the staff right away. Not having a recruiting coordinator right now, it was important to bring him in, with his background.”
