Caylee Anthony Death Confirmed – DNA tests have confirmed the death of Caylee Anthony by matching DNA from the bones found near the Anthony home with other DNA evidence.
Skeletal remains found in the woods are the Florida 3-year-old who has been missing since June, and her death is considered a homicide, a county medical examiner said Friday. DNA tests confirm that the remains match Caylee Anthony’s genetic profile, said the medical examiner, Dr. Jan Garavaglia.
A utility worker stumbled upon the remains last week, less than a half-mile from where the girl lived. Garavaglia said some of the remains discovered were as small as pebbles, and authorities weren’t certain how the girl was killed.
“Bottom line is folks, no child should have to go through this,” said Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary.
Caylee’s mother, 22-year-old Casey Anthony, was indicted in October on first-degree murder and other charges, even though no body was found. She has insisted that she left the girl with a baby sitter in June, but she didn’t report her missing until July.
A search team said they did not check the wooded area sooner because it was submerged in water.
Beary said his department was investigating reports that the utility worker who called in the tip leading to the discovery of the remains had tried several times in August to call in his suspicion about a bag in the area.
“If we missed a window of opportunity we don’t know,” he said. “I’m not throwing anybody under the bus because we don’t know. That’s why we conduct an administrative review.”
Casey Anthony’s attorney, Jose Baez, was with her at the Orange County Jail when she found out the news, said Todd Black, a spokesman for the attorney. She was notified a short time before the news conference about the positive identification. Black said he wouldn’t comment on her reaction.
The case captivated the community where the little girl’s family lived, and Caylee has been a staple on national news as her mother and grandparents pleaded for tips, promising that the girl was still alive.
Caylee’s grandmother first called authorities in July to say she hadn’t seen the girl for a month and her daughter’s car smelled like death.
Police immediately interviewed Anthony and soon said everything she told them about her daughter’s whereabouts was false. The baby sitter was nonexistent and the apartment where Anthony said she had last seen Caylee had been empty for months. Anthony also lied about where she worked, they said.
Other troubling details emerged: Photos surfaced of Anthony partying after her daughter went missing. Friends said she was a habitual liar, but also a good mother.
Last month, the Orange County State Attorney turned over almost 800 pages of documents showing someone used the Anthonys’ home computer to do Internet searches for terms like “neck breaking” and “household weapons.”
In mid-March, someone searched Google and Wikipedia for peroxide, shovels, acetone, alcohol and chloroform. Traces of chloroform, which is used to induce unconsciousness and a component of human decomposition, were found in the trunk of Casey Anthony’s car during forensic testing, the documents say.

I wish George and Cindy peace and the small comfort of knowing that there are thousands of people across the south who where hopeful and praying right along side you. People who wanted more than anything for this to have a happy ending. Know that many of us shed tears at the news of confirmation because we truly cared about what happened. Know that we are profoundly sorry for your loss, not only the loss of you granddaughter but for the dire circumstances surrounding your daughter. Many have overlooked the fact that you are losing twice and I am so very very sorry for that. I wish you well and a speedy end to this hellish nightmare. Oceans of love.

I have prayed that somewhere somehow this sweet little innocent girl would be found and this family could put this terrible ordeal behind them while leaving there selfish daughter in jail where she belongs to be, as well as being forced to be sterilized as part of her life sentence for neglecting one of God’s children. We that have children know that they are just on loan to us from God above to care for and love and to guide in the right direction to prepare them for the life ahead. I myself have one child and am unable to have anymore. As the economy has failed it is out of the question for us to adopt as it is too expensive. My husband and I are good parents and have a wonderful son with whom we love very much. He is our life! I cannot fathom not knowing where he is one second and could not imagine hurting him in any way. I do not understand sometimes why the Lord allows this type of person to bare a child when people like me cannot have the luxury. I am lucky to have the one I have but dream of more everyday knowing that will never happen. I am a christian and I may have to answer for this comment but I am willing to do so in front of my maker. But the biggest mistake that the authorities have made that I have read is that they will not be seeking the death penalty. She should not have the satisfaction of making friends, reading books, smiling, eating food she may like, watching tv, or being outside to enjoy what God has made. The only thing this woman deserves is to burn in the fiery pits of hell for eternity. And that could not come soon enough for me. Justice needs to prevail for little Caylee!
Rest in Peace sweet Angel, for you are in a much better place than we all are. We will see you again. Enjoy Heaven and your father Angel for we all know he is enjoying you!

I believe they have overwhelming evidence against Casey. Even is she found guilty…that fact remains that little Caylee will never enjoy the life that she deserved. She is fine, now that she is in heaven. These are kind of stories that makes me cry.

Let me tell you for all you grandparents who think it isn’t hard to raise a grandchild, well I have been doing in 5 years and I never regret doing it…I have a somewhat better relationship with son or daughter…but that I don’t have to worry or wonder if this could or couldn’t been my grandchild…I might had flown off the handle when I took custody but so be it…he is a find little boy..and he isn’t dead…things work out.
So I am in support of raising the child and saving the family…

This is just to say that a christian is not to judge we will all see judgement day before god so i think we all need to be more forgiving even though the circumstances are horrible again she will have to answer to god and so will anyone who judes they also will be judged. It’alot EASIER to point fingers and BLAME, rather than to ask someone if THEY NEED HELP!!! I too, am a grandmother,mother & sister. Everyone who KNEW Casey could see that SHE was DESPERATELY CRYING OUT for HELP!!! But, nobody cared until it was TOO LATE!!! They say it takes a village to help raise a child,she didn’t need a village,all she needed was ONE PERSON to pull her aside and shake her up,to wake her into REALITY!!! But,NO-ONE DID,THET JUST LOOKED AWAY!!! ALL the people in Caylee’s life LET HER DOWN. WE ALL KNOW someone who may need HELP in whatever circumstance. Casey Anthony Affadavit – I Am Not Selling Caylee’s Story
ORLANDO, Fla. – Casey Anthony said Tuesday, March 10, 2009 that she believes prosecutors are “angry because I have refused to take a plea agreement for a crime that I did not commit.”
The handwritten words – including capital letters for “DID NOT” — are part of a sworn affidavit she signed on Tuesday.
The affidavit also states that she has no agreements to sell her story or “that of my daughter, Caylee Marie Anthony.”
Anthony’s defense attorney filed the affidavit as part of his objection to a prosecution motion that is seeking to find out where Anthony is getting money to fund her defense.
Prosecutors on Monday said they want a judge to find out where Anthony, who is charged with her daughter Caylee’s death, is getting the money to pay for her defense team.
They want Judge Stan Strickland to require Baez to produce all deposit records, retainer agreements and licensing arrangements. If any of these dealings exist, prosecutors want Casey Anthony to sign a waiver saying she’s aware of them. Baez said he’s been consulting an ethics lawyer all the way and said Monday he planned to file a sworn motion repeating his stance that he’s done nothing unethical.
Repeatedly, Baez has declined to say who is paying for her legal dream team. He said it’s nobody’s business.
As questions persisted, Baez said he has “done nothing but conduct myself in a most professional manner, and that he has done nothing unethical” when asked about the role he played in building the defense fund.
One of the lead prosecutors said this deal could lead to a potential conflict of interest for Baez. Baez said this is a “witch hunt,” and the state has “no evidence” to prove their allegations because he’s done nothing wrong.
If Baez has made improper side deals for book or movie rights to the case, prosecutors said the arrangement could be “fraught with potential conflict of interest.” One criminal defense attorney said it could give Casey Anthony grounds to ask for another trial.
For their part, prosecutors said they “are not trying to block Baez from representing Casey.”
Meanwhile, on Thursday, attorneys for Casey Anthony and her parents, George and Cindy, are scheduled to head back to court to argue motions. The Anthonys’ attorney is going to ask the judge to keep George Anthony’s suicide note from being made public.

FRom the Philippines:…..Lets wait for the final decision,forensic experts would not fail us..,most especially this kind of case.We would know what really happened in the future.With the Evidences and the action and words both the mother and the grandparents…they are all going against them…they all know what happened it seems…but i think the grandfather is the key to all of this …He is a police officer and a very soft hearted person he can be talked to one -on -one and make him speak to somebody who has the ability to talk to somebody psychologically maybe make him cry first then for sure he would speak up……
