Craigslist Killer – Boston has a Craigslist killer, seen in photos below, attacking women who advertise masseuse or escort services on the popular site with 26-year old Julissa Brisman the latest victim.

The Craigslist killer calls women advertising services on the site, makes appointments to meet them at luxury hotels and then immediately ties them up and robs or kills them when he arrives.

Julissa Brisman was shot to death when she struggled with the killer in the doorway of her hotel room at the Marriott Copley Place hotel Tuesday night. Brisman was shot multiple times in the torso and police found a plastic restraint on one wrist.
Hotel guest Jane Greenberg was reading a book in a nearby room when she heard banging and other noises coming from the hallway.
Greenberg said she heard “shrieking” – “as if a child was screaming” – and opened her door to see the Julissa Brisman unresponsive and bleeding to death in the doorway of her hotel room three doors down the hall.
Greenberg quickly called hotel security, but Brisman died a short time later at Boston Medical Center.
Police said Brisman put up a fight when the killer attempted to tie up her wrists and rob her, police said. In surveillance photos released yesterday, the murder suspect is seen wearing a black jacket with dark slacks and typing on a BlackBerry as he got off the escalator at the Marriott.

On April 10, another woman who advertised on Craigslist was bound with plastic restraints and robbed at gunpoint at the nearby Westin Copley hotel by the same man.

On January 17, Donna Rao – who also advertised her services on Craigslist – was tied up and robbed at the nearby Back Bay Sheraton Hotel.
The killer seems to be obssessed with his Blackberry and often wears a Red Sox cap to hide his face.
And that’s the latest news on the Boston Craigslist Killer.

Boston Craigslist Killer Strikes Again
The Craigslist killer stalking Boston Craigslist masseuses and hookers for their cash appears to have struck again, but this time he attempted to rob a woman offering “private dances” in a hotel in Rhode Island.
Warwick, R.I., police confirm this morning that a man matching the description of Boston’s Caucasian killer held a 26-year-old woman at gunpoint last night at a Holiday Inn Express and demanded all her money.
“She was offering private dances on Craigslist,” Warwick Lt. Joseph Coffey tells the Herald. He said police are now working with Boston detectives on the case.
The armed suspect, a white male with blond hair dressed in jeans and a dark jacket, tied up the woman with a plastic cord at 11:17 p.m. and attempted to rob her cash, Coffey said.
“The woman’s husband then came into the room and (the suspect) held him up too, but gave up and then fled,” the officer said. “The woman was not injured and nothing was taken.”
The husband chased the suspect for a short time, Coffey added, but broke it off and returned to his rattled wife.
The description of the Warwick attacker is a direct match to the cold-blooded crook who has been targeting hookers and a masseuse around Copley Square.
All three woman attacked, so far, advertised their erotic services on the Craigslist.org free-for-all site.
Coffey said Warwick police might have surveillance footage of the suspect in last night’s attack, which they may make public. He added the suspect was about six-feet tall and was “clean cut” – a dead-on match to the Boston sex-scene prowler.
Warwick police are warning all hotels in the region to be on the lookout for the Craigslist stalker.
The attack comes just two days after Julissa Brisman, a 26-year-old stunner from New York City offering her services on Craigslist as a masseuse, was shot to death in her hotel room at Marriott Copley Place.
A week ago a man matching the same description bound and robbed a 29-year-old hooker from Las Vegas in her room at the Westin Copley Place.

well, its these girls faults for getting killed, really it is. they put them selfs on a website as hookers really and they expect that its safer then standing on street corners.. unlike streets the web has millions of users and is much easier to catch their prey. so i honestly dont feel bad for them, but this man needs to get caught before more hookers get killed.

Great… now we are going to have to endure another string of “Made for TV” movies about high society, suburban white boys killing hookers…

Well, well, well …
It all comes to show – do not judge a person by how they look or what their job is. You never know who the creepy misogynist is and who the down to earth gentleman is. So much for the wedding plans! His fiancee looks strangely a lot like his victim… gullible and easily impressed.

God bless those beautiful ladies and their family’s.
I hope this man spends the rest of his life suffering the way he has made so many suffer. They better throw the book at this guy and send a very strong message!!!
No woman deserves to loose her life just trying to survive.

Man, I get so tired of people saying, “He or she” is an ordinary person and for the public to be so shocked that “someone” looks normal. How is a preditor/killer/stocker supposed to LOOK???!!! I am so sorry that the web is another way for folks to hurt innocent people!

What’s all the fuss? Just because some hooker got killed in Boston. I’m sure there are plenty of high priced call girls left. Who ever did kill her did society a favor.

I think its sad some of the comments that were left in response to this story. We, the human race, have become so numb to the suffering of others. Its ironic how the internet played such a role in this tragedy because I feel it is a big reason for us being so disconnected from each others’ pain. Noone deserves to die at the hands of another human being no matter how they choose to live their own lives. And that also goes for the killer himself. He should be tried and sentenced but I can’t say that I would want him dead and neither would I say this about the yoing girls killed because they offered erotic services for money. I pray for the friends and family of the victims and for their souls.

Take time and compare the Craigslist killer and serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer and How they killed their victims? Both had medical backgrounds and Did something odd to kill their partners. Male killers, young good looking, had secret history. Just something to think about place a picture of both on the screen and see.
April 25th, 2009 at 2:55 pm
I really wonder, someone reading this story and typing a comment could be just like Philip Markoff – - disguised and just laughing, you don’t know who to trust anymore
April 25th, 2009 at 3:42 pm
i do not feel bad for these women i wouldnt even call them women i guess i shall just call them hookers or whores… although i do feel bad for the families who have lost them….
April 27th, 2009 at 10:29 am
wow, some of these comments are ridiculous. no, i don’t think those women should have been killed, because any one who murders another human is a psyco. however, the internet is a dangerous place and these hookers should NOT have put up their “services” online because, honestly, this sort of thing was BOUND to happen eventually.
its a sick world, get over it. people are going to be murdered. i’m not saying its right for him to have done this, but these girls did get what was coming to them.

Mary Beth Simons, a former roommate of Julissa Brisman’s, “provided the link” that pointed police to Markoff’s Quincy, Mass., apartment — handing over e-mails that detailed the masseuse’s three-day Boston stint and her client roster, ABCNews.com reported.
Shortly after Markoff was arrested, police said they had gotten a big break when a friend of Brisman’s — whom they didn’t identify — gave them information from the slain woman’s e-mail account about her Boston clients.
Markoff, who had allegedly responded to an ad on Craigslist, is accused of killing Brisman, beating and shooting her at a Back Bay Marriott April 14.
Brisman — using the name “Morgan” — also advertised her Boston massage services through Simons, who e-mailed a notice to preferred salon clients, according to ABC, which obtained the note.
“Hi! My girlfriend, Morgan, the massage therapist will be visiting Boston, ” the e-mail read.
“She visits only once every 1-2 months so don’t miss her! Her pics are real, recent . . . I highly recommend her!”
The e-mail went on to say the rate was $200 an hour for “sensual massage inclusive of hand stress relief.” Other “sensual extras” were available, but discussed only in person “for reasons of discretion.”

To all you guys that are leaving the messages saying that its a great thing that this guy did by killing off these poor women who were trying to support themselves you know that you are the main guys that hit up craigslist every weekend looking for some affection from someone because you cant get any from women unless you pay for it!!!!! The way that the economy is now I completely understand where these girls are coming from with having to support themselves in that way and no one deserves to die from trying to make money to live!!!!! So to all of you heartless bastards that seem to belive that tgese women are worthless maybe you should take a look at yourself in the mirror a think “would anyone care if I got killed?” Would you really want people saying on some blog “oh well who the f**k cares just another worthless F**ker were better off without him!!!”? RIP to all the unfortunate women that this bastard has killed. God bless all of these womens families. I hope this bastard gets what he deserves!!!!

Thanks for writing that Trace, my sentiments exactly. Everyone has worth regardless of the choices they have made.

To all of you insensitive pieces of uselessness who think these women somehow “deserved” this…F YOU! That is like saying the boys @ Pearl Harbour “deserved” to get bombed for joining the Navy…or what about those poor souls who were murdered on 9/11? Did they “deserve” what they got for boarding a flight or simply showing up for work that day. Or I know, go tell that to all the families of Bundys’ victims; most of them were prostitutes…oh, but a couple were sorority girls right? Maybe they are all “worthless whores” too? Why don’t you finish your rounds of spreading joy with vists to the families of the students lost @ Columbine or more recently @ Virginia Tech…you know what all these incidents have in common? They were all perpetrated by mass-murdering as*holes against unsuspecting victims. These women certainly were making risky (& bad) decisions, but nobody deserves to come to an early end at the hands of a sadistic sh*thead killer! I hope you are all fortunate enough to have a beautiful daughter someday (if you can find time between binges of Warcraft!) make some poor decisions and be struck down in her prime by a physco like Markoff! What a bunch of dicks! You are all part of the sick desensification of our society; if you really can’t find an ounce of empathy for these people, then please do us all a favor and spay or neuter yourself! I don’t want you in the same gene-pool with the rest of us…this B.S. coming from little pricks seated comfortably in their parents’ basements popping zits and jerking it to pics of these “hookers”…why not un-jack yourselves from the Matrix for once and go outside! I promise, with a little sunblock you’ll be fine…for the rest of you: thanks for showing concern and a little humanity for these women and their families. Still though, we all need to stop the madness of a media-fed culture gone crazy! Don’t support this type of irresponsible journalism…it is sensationalism at its worst! Wake-up my friemds and neighbors…and pray these buttholes go to the Vet and take me up on my earlier suggestion. Peace be with you all. -theDetroitKid

To those who feel that she somehow desrved what she got, you are closer to the perpetrator than you think. He didn’t think she desrved to live either. So quick to judge and lacking in grace. Now you have alligned yourself with the same thoughts as a cold-blooded killer. Congratulations! but that is not what you intended, I am sure. Think it through, you too can be a better person. You can start by not judging other people on based upon your high opinion of yourself, you know………..like him. I am not angry, not judging, but do you know who you are? Your high opinion of yourself? Just a fart in the wind, really.

It is tragic and unfortunate when anyone is hurt or killed. But truly one has to be careful in life. Meeting strangers in hotel rooms is extremely dangerous. No one has to make ends meet by doing illegal, dangerous immoral activities. Take care of yourself physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally, because there are cruel, evil people in this world.
May 3rd, 2009 at 3:44 pm
I can’t believe most of what I am reading. You who are so holier than thou and standing up for these poor unfortunate women, yet are condeming those who do not agree with you, are no better than they are. It is completely irreprehensible to wish someone would have a child die. That makes you no better than the person that took these womens lives in the first place. I hope you see what a horrible mistake you made in your comments, and if you still see nothing wrong with your words, then you are just as sadistic as the craigslist killer, and all those other murders in those tragedies you seem to know so much about.
