Craigslist Killer Evidence Overwhelming – Boston police have an overwhelming amount of evidence against Craigslist killer Philip Markoff, including finding panties of his victims and the murder weapon in a hollowed out copy of Grey’s Anatomy.
Craigslist killer Philip Markoff left so much evidence in his apartment and so many online clues to his identity that its almost as if he wanted to get caught.
Boston police were able to link Markoff to the email address used to respond to the Craigslist ads placed by his victims, link the IP address of his computer to that email address, and track his movements from his Blackberry service provider to the hotels where the robberies and the murder of Julissa Brisman took place.
The robbery motive of the Craigslist killer seems to have been to obtain money for his gambling habit, but the brutal murder of Julissa Brisman indicates a vicious, sadistic streak to the man whose fiancee, Megan McAllister, said would never hurt a fly.
Prosecutors said that a search of the Craiglist killer’s apartment turned up a semi-automatic weapon along with ammunition, plastic zip ties and duct tape.
Philip Markoff also appeared to be collecting women’s panties, which investigators believe were “souvenirs” from his alleged victims, two law enforcement sources said.
The panties, found hidden in Markoff’s apartment, were marked and bagged by police as potential evidence in the case and are one of the reasons investigators believe there could be more victims who have not yet come forward.
