Stacey Barker - 24-year old Stacey Barker was arrested for murdering her 1-year old daughter, Emma Barker, dumping her body along a highway and faking a kidnapping to cover it up.
Stacey Barker, 24, has been under investigation since her toddler was found March 20 in tall grass a few blocks from a Los Angeles highway.
Barker initially reported being knocked out by someone while putting young Emma into her car and waking up to find the child missing. She later recanted the story and claimed the child died in an accident.
“Investigators discovered several inconsistencies in her story almost immediately,” said Steve Whitmore, spokesman for the Los Angeles County sheriff’s office. “As they continued to question her, her story began to change.”
Whitmore said Barker had head injuries when authorities responded to her assault report. He said detectives are investigating whether they were self-inflicted.
Barker was detained for questioning after the child’s body was discovered, but she was released into the custody of her parents several days later. She was booked Thursday on suspicion of murder and was being held on $1 million bond.
Barker’s father told reporters last month that Barker lived at home with her parents and younger brother, who all took turns taking care of the family’s first and only grandchild.

It is a shame that all of these innocent children are being killed left and right, usually because of their parents. I am disgusted with all of these children murder cases, I hope and pray that these parents who kill their children get the worst sentence, because justice needs to be surved. I do not share any sort of sympathy for this sorry excuse for a woman, but I do have so much sympathy for the baby-girl and her grandparents, plus uncle. It’s a shame how selfish some of us can be.

this saounds just like the casey anthony case. I fell for both babies. THe parents shouldnt have kids until they are older.

I really truly feel awful for baby Emma. I hope for Emma’s justice that her mothr gets the death penalty. They should start punishing these women and men they exact way that they killed their kids. I wonder when all these women that have babies and don’t want them and then their families reach out and help them support the kids or even take over parental duties that they will realize that there are tons of couples in America that would love to have a baby and to have a child to love and can’t and instead of doing the mature thing and giving the kid off they would rather kill the innoncent babies. I hope they get beat repeatedly in prision for what they have done.

It seems like every day mothers are killing their children. I am so upset this seems to happen so often. What is going wrong in this world. These women who do not want children should not have them in the first place. I hope they rot in hell or at least rot in jail.

I say the punishment should fit the crime.
Take these murdering mothers out and throw them out of a moving car into the brush, while still alive. They seem to think nothing of killing their children in totally barbaric fashion.
Susan Smith did it several years ago. It just seems to be the new fad these days. There needs to be a stop put to all this criminal nonsense. No child deserves to die at the hands of their own mother.

Why would she kill such an innocent and cute child? This girl should have been her world and yet she suffocated her and then dumped her body like her baby was trash. Did Emma really mean nothing to her whatsoever. Her parents and brother was even helping her out for goodness sake! This little angel didn’t deserve this nor the mother she had had. In many ways Stacy Barker reminds me of Casey Anthony. Both killed their daughters for most likely selfish reasons and both are pathological liars!

THIS IS CRAZY..I CAN NOT BELIEVE ALL THE BABIES THAT ARE DYING..HOW COULD SOMEONE KILL ANYONE LET ALONT THEIR OWN CHILD..I AM A YOUNG MOM I AM ABOUT TO BE 24 AND MY DAUGHTER IS ABOUT TO BE 4 I HAD HER 5 DAYS AFTER I TURNED 20 AND I NEVER WOULD EVEN THINK ABOUT DOING ANYTHING TO MY DAUGHTER NO MATTER WHAT I CAN NOT IMAGINE WHY THESE PARENTS DO THIS……

Having babies when you’re older or younger doesn’t have anything to do w/ babies being killed. You can be psycho at any age. Anyhow, this girl used to be roommates with my good friends and its been told that she went to the beach and forgot the baby in the car until later when she realized on her way home that the baby was dead in the back seat.

I think you have this monster mixed up with another baby killing “mom”. Stacey Barker never had “roommates”, she’s always lived at home. That other part about her going to the beach and forgetting the baby was in the car???? Sorry, but that doesn’t wash either. Emma was 18 months old and would have been heard or seen if she was left in the car. All the beach parking lots in CA. are very crowded, she would have been seen and heard. Also, this happened back in March, and although CA. is warm, it’s not warm enough to go for an outing at the beach, or to cause the car to become hot enough to cause death. Another part of this “story” is you don’t realize after driving that your baby is dead, you’d notice it as soon as you unlocked your car door, you couldn’t help but see an obvious sight in broad daylight. I agree that age has nothing to do with it, also these baby killers aren’t that young. Age 22 and having your first child certainly isn’t too young, it’s not like she was 13 or 14 years old, or even a teenager anymore.
