Sickles High School Yearbook Photo – Here are yearbook photos from Sickles High School in Tampa showing the young lady who went commando to school to avoid having panty lines show.
After the Sickles High School yearbooks were distributed Monday, students noticed that the pottery club photo offered a rather revealing glimpse of one 16-year old girl.
While the school administration downplayed the photo and said it was just a shadow, the sweet young thing decided to give an interview with a local TV station and admitted that it was exactly what it looked like.
The young “lady” in the photo admits on camera that she didn’t wear underwear that day, but says she didn’t show herself like that on purpose, “Absolutely not. It is ridiculously embarrassing.”
All of the administrators are trying to downplay it and saying I should really laugh it off and come back to school, but I’ve been humiliated,” said the girl, who now says she won’t return to school for the rest of the year.
And of course, her mother Jeanette wants the school to recall all the yearbooks and have them reprinted without the embarrassing photo at the school districts expense, all because her daughter didn’t want her panty lines showing in a seated photo. Well, duh!
And that’s the latest news on the Sickles High School yearbook photo.

Not only is this being blown COMPLETLY out of proportion, but it is just proving to the public that the media has nothing more important to make news about…which is pathetic. I attend Sickles, and have the girl in one of my classes. This is completly disrespectful to the Sickles yearbook staff who worked incredibly hard all year to make an amazing yearbook, it’s sad that one stupid picture..of a SHADOW..had to outshine all of that. The parents of the girl should have refused the interview and any other media coverage because it does nothing to help the problem. There is NO WAY that Sickles will collect back the 500 something yearbooks that they have sold, so keep dreaming. Everyone would have just laughed it off if she would have done the same. I admit, teenagers can be mean, but from a first hand point of view, we have way more important things to worry about this time of year than any ridiculous “vagina” photo. And as a side note, admitting that you don’t wear underwear in a public highschool (especially with a dress on), on television, is completly unsanitary and tacky. My advice is to get some class, and learn to cover it up, stop blaming the administration for something you could have prevented yourself.

I know someone who is VERY close to her & she even says that she is making this such a huge deal. some people say that she is only in it because she now is getting benefits because she wanted to sue the school. its all for the benefits. the yearbook staff blew up the picture & proved that it was only a shadow. yes its embarrasing but she is drawing attention to it even more by going to the news about it. oh & just so you know maybe the news stations should check out the picture before promoting this & making her look oh so innoscent! she was already ignorant enough not to wear underwear to shcool! so her mother isn’t the smartest for saying the things she is either. how can you really expect the school to take away everyones books? it simply CANNOT be done.

She is making a major deal about this when if she hadnt made a big deal about it, no one would have noticed. I wouldnt have noticed if i was just going through the yearbook. I go to the same school and have known the girl since freshman year. Its all just a cry for attention. The photographer even says if you are wearing a dress to move to the back or cross your legs or angle yourselves…just like the rest of the girls on the front row. The school district isn’t at fault here. It is her own fault for making that decision of not wearing underwear. The school is not responsible to take the yearbooks back. The students paid for them and seniors leave in just a couple days. they arent going to give them back after they have had all their friends sign it. Sorry girl but this is just one

Alex, if you know this girl, please tell her this: You are a nasty slut and your mother didn’t raise you right. If this girl wore no panties to school and it actually made it into the yearbook, she must have been giving beavershots all day. This is ridiculous. This little girl should have legal charges pressed against her for purposefully and inappropriately exposing herself to children. If my child were in that school, I would go to the police department and ask them to pursue charges against this girl. Also, the mother should have to pay to have the yearbooks reprinted. The responsibility for this lies clearly on the slut and the slut’s mother. The yearbook staff and all the others should review, but they can’t catch everything and they shouldn’t have to be looking for girls with no panties. That should never be a situation that happens. If girls are going to your school with no panties, the school needs to address this situation IMMEDIATELY.

It has been my humble experience that girls who do not wear panties to school are the ones deep throating the football players behind the bleachers in gym class. Those were always my favorite girls.

What a shame that an issue like this has to arise during one of the better times of the year for students…especially seniors.
Pursuing a complaint like this over what has to be a questionable image (how much can be showing anyway…it’s not like she was doing the splits) will just put a distasteful slant on what should be a valued publication.
I feel for all involved including the girl if she actually feels embarrassed over the image but the Mom needs to relax on this as there isnt anything that can be done to reverse history. It’s better to learn from our mistakes and keep moving forward.
I actually find much of this rediculous knowing what transmissions are sent via the public commercial MMS networks. As long as teens who have cell phones continue to believe that the wireless network is private and secure, it will continue to be flooded with this type of imagery and worse and I suspect that this girl has more than a “few” of these images on the network.
One of these days when the MMS network is opened and all of the spooled data is available for viewing by the public…more than just this girl will be “embarrassed” and no excuse will be readily available for why such pictures exist.
Be ready for it. As a cell switch tech I can tell you that this revelation is not far off.

It is your fault you didn’t wear underwear. It is your fault for being an attention whore. You wanted it you got it. We hope you like it. We do not feel bad for you. You are the only one on everypage not sitting legs crossed or turned to the side. I was in a club and I know the photographer told the girls to sit like that. Dress or jeans.

The editors saw it when they chose that picture. They published it knowing it was inappropriate.
The girl knew she could be exposed, and chose not to cover up.
She chose to admit she wasn’t wearing panties, she could have denied it.
The mother went to the media, she could have ignored it, which is what her daughter should have done. It simply could have been a big lesson learned, but no, they gotta’ act all offended, like they were wronged…
Now they act all innocent and such.

You have to laugh at this story.
Firstly – I remember being in high school and knowing it was the day photos would be taken and dressing appropriately so this type of thing didn’t happen!
Secondly – if I wore a short skirt without underwear to school – that’s just asking for issues!!…cripes, if you sit in those seats in school on a hot summer day, your butt sticks to it – when you stand your dress could be stuck to your butt and show! haha.
and yah – cross your legs!! Two girls next to her – legs crossed. the other two girls to the left – hands in lap to prevent that from happening!
I am sure it is humiliating for her (although I have a feeling the picture is being way blown out of proportion based on what is shown) but she needs to just move on from it!

I don’t know this girl but I am sickened by the media covered on this situation.
When I was a junior at my high school, a suicide note was published in the yearbook. A student threw it into their spread last minute and the teacher was too busy to catch it. There is nothing you can do about it; you can try, but it’ll all pass in time.
And in my opinion, it almost looks like she’s purposely trying to lift her skirt? The girl two to the left is pressing down on her lap and has her knees together. Ok so I am here. came here when ktla.com ran a news about it and I decide to do some resurch. Face it. Accdents do happen. Most women dont want the panty lines show when wearing a dress. She probably didnt have any gstring or something so decides to go out with nothing under it. I am not blaming her or the staff for this. But by looking at it. it may just be a shadow. nothing much you can see. If she crossed her legs it wouldnt have happened. So you may have seen women on short dresses who wear underwear or not while on tv such as a talk show host or something. The dark spot is just a shadow. I agree with some of you that said if she didnt freak out and bring this all on tv. none of us would have noticed. But the school is sopposed to supervise the yearbook staff. So taking all the year books away and reprint it is just gonna cost alot of money. I understand how the girl feels, But it clearly is an accdent. She mention to people she wasnt wearing underwear. so now alot of perverts are going out and about and look.
