Facebook has responded: “This is a phishing attack. We’re well aware of it and are already blocking links to these new phishing sites from being shared on Facebook. We’re also cleaning up phony messages and Wall posts and resetting the passwords of affected users. We think this is related to the fbaction.net/fbstarter.com campaign of a couple weeks ago.”

I just was just directed to the 252.im through a facebook message, seemingly sent from a friend. Two pop ups appeared with samurai and all text in swedish I believe.
Has my computer now been infected or how can I detect that it has been infected before my personal information is infiltrated?
Merci for any insight you can offer.

Go to CNET.com or download.com and grab a free copy of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
The Malwarebytes removal tool will run even on an infected PC and root all all the hidden files.
It’s also good for cleaning out spyware and adware as well.

These Facebook phishing sites sometimes provide a clone copy of Facebook or they go through a redirect that takes you to other sites.
Those are usually sites that infect your PC or try to get you to buy an bogus antivirus or anti-spyware program that really hoses your system after stealing all your personal information.
Always a good idea to use a free firewall on your PC as well like Zone Labs Zone Alarm.
