Korena Roberts – 28-year old Korena Roberts, pictured below, killed pregnant 21-year old Heather Snively and cut out her fetus before telling 911 that she had just delivered a baby in distress.
Oddly, Korena Roberts already had two children of her own, but was faking a pregnancy to her live-in boyfriend and made good on her lie by cutting Heather Snively’s baby from her womb.
EMS first responders reported, “The man was performing CPR on the child at the direction of the 911 personnel. The woman, 28-year old Korena Elaine Roberts, told the rescuers that she had just delivered the child.”
Rescuers observed a large amount of blood in the house and decided to quickly send the child and Korena Elaine Roberts to St. Vincent’s Hospital.
“Doctors at the hospital were not able to revive the baby, they also discovered that Ms. Roberts had not delivered a child at anytime in the recent past,” Sgt. David Thompson with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.
“The Washington County Sheriff’s Office was called to respond to the hospital and gained information that led them to believe that there may be at least one injured person at the Mill Creek address.”
“They found deceased 21-year-old Heather Megan Snively in the crawlspace of the house and no other people in the house.”
Detectives determined that Heather Snively was killed by homicidal violence and that her unborn male child did not survive, Thompson said.
Korena Elaine Roberts was charged with first-degree murder in the bizarre attack on Heather Snively, a stranger who had just moved to the area from Maryland a week earlier.

Korena Roberts Met Victim Through Craigslist
Heather Snively, the pregnant 21-year-old found dead with her baby no longer in her womb befriended the woman charged with killing her through Craigslist, her mother said Sunday.
Police said they found Heather Megan Snively’s body Friday in a crawl space in Korena Elaine Roberts’ home in Beaverton, a Portland suburb. They’d been called there because a newborn wasn’t breathing. The baby later died.
Snively’s mother, Heidi Kidd of St. Albans, W.Va., said Snively met Roberts a few weeks ago through Craigslist, the online classified service. Roberts told Snively she was pregnant and wanted baby clothes, Kidd said. They befriended one another and kept talking online.
“I guess they decided to meet and I guess that was the wrong thing to do,” she said. “But Heather’s always been a very trusting person.”
Kidd said her daughter was eight months pregnant, and Snively’s Facebook photo shows her lifting a pink shirt to expose a large belly.
Snively and her boyfriend, identified by Kidd as Christopher Popp, recently moved to Oregon from Maryland because he got a better job. Popp, the baby’s father, reported Snively missing Friday night and is not a suspect, Thompson said.
Kidd said her first grandson was to be named John Steven.
“I’m still in shock; it hasn’t hit me,” she said. “I mean, that initial phone call; I just couldn’t believe it. I just could not believe I was talking about my own child.”
“At this time, it has not been determined if [Snively] died because of head wounds she received or as a result of cutting injuries she received to her abdomen,” said a Monday statement from the Washington County, Oregon, Sheriff’s Office. “The autopsy determined that Ms. Snively’s son was removed from her womb after she had been cut open.”
Additional testing is needed to determine whether the infant died before or after he was removed from Snively’s body, the statement said.
Roberts had been telling friends and family for months that she was pregnant, police said, and had told many of those people, including her live-in boyfriend, that she was carrying twins.
I knew Korena in High School, (I was just 2 years older) and believe it or not, but in high school, when she was younger, she was not so bad looking, I dont know what happened to her over the years, but one thing is for sure: The Korena I knew back then was crazy enough to pull something like this, and even though that was kind of hot to me at the time, (the wild, intense, and delusional aspect of her at the time), it makes me sad to know that she sunk so low, because I really had hoped that she would get it together, but it never happened. To Korena, I wanna say, I am sorry, because from day one, I knew you didnt stand a chance in this world, so misunderstood, teased, and confused, lost and trust me, I know that it’s hard when you truly believe that no one loved you, and I am sorry I never tried. Please forgive me, and although I cannot forgive the savagery of this attack, I will pray for you because I know the kind of person you once were, and I am so sorry your life was tainted from day one.
