Kristen Blanco – A 26-year-old Connecticut woman and mother of two named Kristen Blanco, pictured below, faces a sex-assault charge after police caught her in bed with a 15-year-old boy.

Kristen Blanco, of Stratford, Connecticut, admitted she had sex with the underage teen, but claimed she loves him, police said.
Police said they had recently received a complaint that Blanco has been having sexual relations with the boy for some time at her home.
Officers went to her home and were let inside by one of her children. When they entered Blanco’s bedroom, they allegedly found the defendant and boy in bed together naked.
Police said Kristen Blanco ordered the officers out of her bedroom so that she and the boy could get dressed.
She later told officers she and the boy are in love and had been having sex for several weeks and doesn’t see anything wrong with it.
Blanco was charged Tuesday with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. She was released after posting $2,500 bond.
And that’s the latest news on the arrest of Kristen Blanco.

NOTICE OF CORRECTION:
Notice is hereby given that a correction was made to this story on July 2, 2009 to replace an image incorrectly identified as the Kristen Blanco of Stratford, CT involved in this incident.
No changes were made to the text, but the image identified in a Google image search as Kristen Blanco of Stratford, CT was inadvertently a second Kristen Blanco of Stratford, CT who was also the mother of two children and not the person of the same name and town involved in this police matter.
The image was replaced less than 24 hours after this story was posted and was replaced immediately upon receiving notification of the error.
As with any situation involving freedom of the press, there are procedures in place for retractions and corrections when an error takes place and the most important is to quickly correct any error that occurs.
Most newspapers publish corrections the next day and most television stations also announce corrections on the next day’s newscast.
Most blogs do not use a formal notice of correction or retraction when they make changes to a post.
The error involving a misidentified photo from Google Images involving a woman of the same name, from the same town, and with two children was inadvertent and was immediately corrected, but notification of the correction was not published as that is not the normal procedure for blogs.
Information in this post is based on the story published June 30, 2009 in the Connecticut Post, a story from the Associated Press published July 1, 2009 in the Boston Globe, and the full news story on NBCConnecticut.com from July 1, 2009 and updated July 2, 2009.
