Hugh Jackman Is The Avon Man – Aussie actor and Worlds Sexiest Man Hugh Jackman has signed to produce and star in “Avon Man”, a romantic comedy about redemption and role reversal.
The “Avon Man” story arc follows three men laid off from a failing auto dealership. Hugh Jackman plays the one who is reluctantly recruited into becoming an Avon salesman in order to at least make some kind of money while unemployed.
The Avon Man is initially intimidated about entering the world of direct sales of women’s cosmetics, but he uses his good looks and suave charm to become an Avon star salesperson top seller.
In shades of the movie “Full Monty”, Jackman recruits his buddies into the makeup business to win an Avon regional sales contest and help save the failing local economy in the process.
The Avon Man script is by Kevin Bisch, who wrote “Hitch” which starred Will Smith.
