Mel Gibson Loves His Beaver – Mel Gibson returns to acting in “The Beaver” as a depressed toy exec who believes his toy beaver is real.
In these photos, Mel Gibson and his talking beaver puppet jog through White Plains, New York while director Jodie Foster gets some action shots for the dark comedy.
Jodie Foster also plays Meredith, the long-suffering wife of Mel’s character, Walter Black.
Walter is a toy company executive suffering from depression, who finds a beaver puppet in a trash bin and soon becomes inseparable from it, believing it is real and taking his advice.
Filming in New York kicked off last month and Gibson is hoping to wrap the movie before his Russian singer girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, 39, gives birth to his eighth child in December.
“The Beaver” will burrow into theaters in Summer 2011. Leave it to “The Beaver” to steal the show from both Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster.
