Miss Plastic Pageant – Hungary crowned their first “Miss Plastic” in a new beauty pageant where every contestant had plastic surgery to enhance their looks.
Boob jobs, facelifts, and new noses were on parade in Budapest last night as Hungary held its first “Miss Plastic” pageant.
The unusual beauty pageant winners—who had to prove they had actually gone under the knife—received prizes including a new apartment and a new car, plus their surgeons took home awards.
Organizers said the display of surgical enhancements was aimed at boosting acceptance of cosmetic surgery.
Plastic surgery is about “restoring harmony” and “eliminating asymmetries and giving women the opportunity to have normal features,” one surgeon told the AP.
“Plastic surgery has a bad reputation in Hungary, but its mostly due to the exaggerations.” He added that business was booming despite the Hungary’s crisis-ravaged economy. “People for whom this is important always find the money,” he said.
