H1N1 Flu Shot Cripples Cheerleader – An H1N1 flu shot crippled a Washington Redskins cheerleader by causing dystonia, a rare neurological disorder.

Cheerleader Desiree Jennings, 25, was struck down by a systemic reaction triggered by the H1N1 vaccine which has left her with seizures and partially paralyzed muscles.
Desiree fell ill 10 days after getting an H1N1 flu shot, with her first symptoms being difficulty in swallowing while eating and then rapidly progressing to impaired speech and painful muscle spasms.

When standing still or sitting, the young newlywed is overcome by crippling muscle spasms which stop her walking or talking properly.
Oddly, she can walk backwards without difficulty and running causes all the symptoms to abate until she stops.

I did not even think the h1n1 vaccine was available in August are you sure you have your facts straight
October 26th, 2009 at 10:04 pm
It was the SEASONAL flu shot not the H1N1!!

I posted this page on my facebook to spread this message. One of my friends pointed out that August would have been most likely too early to have been a H1N1 flu shot…
While listening to the video again they make no mention of H1N1… Was this just a regular flu shot? And if so, your page should reflect this. Thank you,
Curtis

I agree with Curtis, Us in Canada aren’t able to get our shots for H1N1, until a few weeks from now. I highly doubt it was specifically an H1N1 shot.

Well i did some research and the H1N1 vaccine was not available till September 2009. So who knows what type of vaccine she got, or what caused the problem. She also has a rare neurological disorder, which may have cause part of the problem. That’s all i know for now.

The clip is talking about the SEASONAL FLU shot, NOT H1N1. There are risks with all vaccines; this is a rare side effect associated with flu shots in general.
October 29th, 2009 at 2:53 pm
This was caused by the regular flu-shot and not by the h1n1 shot. Please change the title of the article before this article causes more harm than good

I wouldn’t get a flu shot for anything. I have never got a flu shot and I don’t get sick. Eat healthy, get lots of sleep and take extra nutrition!!

It clearly states from the H1N1 flu shot, not the seasonal, why would they put H1N1 if it wasnt from that? DOn’t understand

It does not matter if it was a regular flu shot or the H1N1. Don`t get any damn flu shot. Don`t let the government trick you into rolling up your sleeve. NO INJECTIONS!

You know, I feel really bad Desriee. I mean, they should check to see if everything is alright with the vaccine. Her voice is messed up! Thats so mean! Stupid shot. Why would they interview her because she said, “the- symptoms- will- get- worse- if- I- keep- talking- or- eating,” I mean, yeah, she just said they’d get worse! Duh. I just feel so bad for her. I wish that would just go away. Err….
I got the Nasal Mist, and I’m so lucky that stuff didn’t happen to me.

My mistake, she said,
“the- symptoms- will- get- worse- if- I- use- my- voice- or- walking- when- the- brain- signals- are- missed- vibring.”

It clearly says the h1n1 shot. Common sense.
“I did not even think the h1n1 vaccine was available in August are you sure you have your facts straight”
“I posted this page on my facebook to spread this message. One of my friends pointed out that August would have been most likely too early to have been a H1N1 flu shot…”
You guys will say anything to convince yourselves its not bad. Well, once your paralyzed or dead, ill be laughing at you.

She clearly says that it was just the ordinary flu shot she got at a drug store and hot the H1N1. Currently, you can only get a h1N1 from a doctor or health district

This lovely young lady received seasonal flu vaccine, NOT H1N1 as the story claims. At this stage, it cannot be known that the vaccine was the cause of the strange illness. It is certainly not clear whether she may improve or recover. Dead people don’t have those options. 3900 Americans have already died from H1N1 flu, including 540 children. This is a sad and unusual situation, but the real threat of death from H1N1 flu should not be forgotten. Please, get your vaccine.

this story is a lie…..this was not caused by the h1n1 shot it was caused by the seasonal flu shot which she got in August…and she already had the disease it was just undiagnosed..the shot triggered it. whoever wrote this story is either an idoit or trying to scare the pants off of people about the h1n1 shot….this is worse than higschool reporting. REPORT THE FACTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STOP TRYING TO SCARE PEOPLE WITH JUNK REPORTING.

H1N1 or flu shot regardless I do not believe in flu shots of any kind. Think about it why would I put anything in my body that I am trying to avoid. Desiree go to Amazon and get the book One Minute Cure Blessings Desiree and all others with any serious illness.

I am a nurse and have been giving seasonal flu shots, nasal mists, and the same of H1N1 vaccine. The risks of getting the injectable vaccines range from soreness, redness, swelling to the injection site, fainting, headache, muscles aches, fever, nausea, as well as in rare cases a life threatening allergic reaction which would occur within a few minutes to a few hours after the shot. Back in 1976 swine flu vaccines were associated with cases of Guillain Barre Syndrome which is a severe muscle weakness, however, this was many years ago and has not been an issue with current vaccines. Nasal mist vaccine side effects range from runny nose, nasal congestion, cough, headache and muscle aches, fever, wheezing, abdominal pain, vomiting, or diarrhea. And as well with injectable vaccines also carries the life threatening allergic reaction which again is a rare case and would happen within a few minutes to a few hours after administering the vaccine. If you have any questions you may contact your local health dept and they can answer them for you and provide you with literature on the vaccines. You may also keep in mind not everyone will react the same with vaccines. Desiree’s condition is an unfortunate one but Im not convinced it was caused by the vacine.
