After Googling “Scott Becker looking for April” five days ago, she found his website AprilBecker.com which her father had created ten years ago in the hope that it would eventually help her find him.

Becker’s wife left him when April Becker was only two months old, changed her name, and disappeared despite all his efforts at finding his daughter.

Scott Becker told reporters that he had hired private investigators, been scammed by people claiming to be his daughter, and spent between $30,000 and $40,000 trying to find her.

“I started looking for her and I could not find her. I could not find her mother. I couldn’t find April and I looked and I looked and I looked. So, I thought maybe one day my daughter will Google her name and maybe she will find me that way and five days ago she found me,” Becker said.

After finally finding her dad, April Becker Antoniou wrote on her Facebook page, “You think I could have Googled that 7 years ago and saved myself the yearly torment. But, it all happens when it happens for a reason. I’m still in shock. I was at the point where I just figured I would never meet him. Glad I was wrong. And glad he was actually still looking, after all this time.”
