84-year old Woman Pulled Alive From Haiti Rubble After 10 Days – Relatives pulled an 84-year-old woman from the rubble of her home on January 22 in Port-au-Prince.

They pulled her out by digging for 20 hours with their bare hands after hearing moaning coming from under the ruins left by the earthquakes that rocked Haiti on Jan. 12.
Her relatives say they pulled Marie Carida, 84, alive from the rubble Friday in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, 10 days after the devastating earthquake flattened Haiti’s capital.
Marie Carida Romain “is very thin. She is in a state of shock and severely dehydrated,” an American doctor tells CBS News, adding that her survival is hardly assured.
