Boy Decapitated At Six Flags – A 17-year old boy was decapitated at the Six Flags Over Georgia theme park after walking beneath the Batman ride, an 11-story roller coaster.

The 17-year old boy decapitated at Six Flags was on a church outing with his family and had left the park for lunch with a friend, then hopped two fences into a restricted area to retrieve his hat.

The Batman ride involved in the accident was going 50 mph when the teen was struck and instantly decapitated.

The decapitation at Six Flags was witnessed by hundreds of people who flooded 911 with calls and the Batman ride was taken out of service immediately after the accident.

“We do not know why this person was intent on gaining access to this restricted area, as multiple signs clearly state: Danger Zone/Do Not Enter/Authorized Personnel Only,” said a statement from park spokeswoman Hela Sheth.

“Some witnesses have stated that the individual was trying to retrieve something he had lost,” Sheth said. “Others reported that he was trying to touch the ride. This is merely speculation at this point, and we are working with park visitors and local police to learn more.”

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family,” the Six Flags statement said.

The 110-foot Batman roller coaster opened in 1997 and features a top speed of 50 mph, two loops, two corkscrews and a heartline spin. A previous accident in May, 2002 killed a maintenance worker after he was struck in the head by a rider’s foot while in the same restricted area.
And that’s the latest news on the teen boy decapitated at Six Flags.

i was at Six Flags the day before this happened and rode the Batman the Ride three times that day. I was on the computer Sunday evening and i was on the computer and my home page is foxnew.com and that was the head line and i couldn’t believe my eyes! It’s a shame that he had to hop to fences and get killed….and the irony being with his church group. I feel bad for his parents.

I think he had it coming for him since there was signs stating the perimeters danger. It was his fault. I do not think they could win a lawsuit cause there was signs. I do feel sorry, but if he would have told the people who run it they could have stopped the ride and let him get his hat. Now if he was trying to touch the ride, I do not feel sorry. That was his own stupid fault. He should have more common sense then that! Sorry I just have two point of views. I do feel really sorry for his parents loss.
