Caylee Anthony has not been seen since June 9th when her mother moved out of her grandmother’s house.
Her full name is Caylee Marie Anthony and police dug up her grandmother’s backyard after learning from a neighbor that Caylee’s mother had borrowed a shovel the night of July 9th, but found nothing.
Casey Marie Anthony is being held without bail for her bizarre behavior after her daughter Caylee disappeared and she lied repeatedly about the missing child’s whereabouts.
Anthony smiled for cameras when she first arrived at the Orange County police station, but her next photo was a mug shot.
Casey Anthony claimed a babysitter named Zenaida Gonzalez had Caylee on June 9 – the same day Anthony moved out of her parents home – but that the child was gone when she returned to pick her up.
For the next month, she fabricated different excuses about where little Caylee Anthony was. In early June, Casey Anthony told her mother she was being sent to Tampa for work and would be back in a few days. Later, she said she was going on a “mini-vacation” with friends and taking Caylee with her.
Casey Anthony told detectives she worked at Universal Studios and identified people who could vouch for her — another lie. The apartment Casey Anthony identified as the place she left her child with Zenaida Gonzalez on June 9th has been vacant for five months.
Orange County Judge John Jordan denied Casey Anthony bail Thursday, chastising her behavior.
“You left your 2-year-old child with a person who does not exist at an apartment you cannot identify, and you lied to your parents about your child’s whereabouts,” Jordan said. “You cared so little about your child.”
Casey Anthony, who has no criminal record, nodded as Jordan spoke. The judge ordered a mental-health evaluation.

George, you had some beautiful and touching things to say about your grandaughter, I know you really loved her and are missing her more than ever. Lee, don’t know what to say about your little “coded” message to C.M.A., don’t think that was very necessary on Caylee’s day. You might have thought about your only neice a little more at her services. No class at all. She deserved yesterday, all of it! this story is so sad.. i kind of wish i would stop hearing about it. there will be no winners in this one. that little girl was so innocent.. it is hard for a mom to imagine another mom doing something as horrific as i feel this girl has done to her baby . God will not forgive her. ever..
It was truly a beautiful service for such an innocent, and beautiful little girl. Her personality was beyond words. It is not a stretch to see how she stole all of their hearts.
I am with Mark Klaas on the subject of all the drama this family seem put out there, where no drama should be. Cindy Anthony still calls the shots, and the rubbing of her son’s back as he is pouring out his heart to his sister in a coded message. He is telling her that shows him how to live life everyday!! Oh my gosh…she is the last person anyone should look up to as a shinning star to show you the way. I am sure he is broken, but it is this woman, daughter, and sister,and mother, that has torn up their lives so bad the father tried to end his. Cindy saying she has three children. COME ON! This case keeps getting more and more bizarre. Fingerprints or no finderprints, does not make me think Casey is anything but a cold blooded woman. She can keeps tightening that noose around her neck. The latest is the entries in her journal made just days after Caylee went missing. How she was happier then she had been in a long time, and she hoped the decision she made was the right one. She only hoped the end justifies the means. Tell me…just how happy would you be if your child was missing? Terrified is the word I would use. I wouldn’t be dirty dancing with another skanky woman either.

Wow…Lee is as big a buffoon as his sister. I think the whole family has a few rocks loose. She is something else. Doesn’t want those embarrassing pictures released to the public…duh we have seen so many of them and they all point to her character. Been keeping up with the story from the beginning. Casey is one woman filled with lies from head to toe. My opinion is caylee bioligical dad is still alive. Maybe it’s a LE person, we’ll never know, remember her dad george is an ex-cop. I think some type of LE was involved with the cover up that is why it took so long to discover her body and the tissue was gone and now it’s tougher to convict her. The Anthony’s were frustrated with casey which made them say they smelled a dead body in back of the car, remember cindy was also a nurse. but realizing what they said out of anger they realize now they put casey more on the guilt side. that is why cindy lied later and said there was o rotten pizza in the back(figure from a italian family). The apple sure doesn’t fall far from the tree. For Leonard Padilla, he was smart and backed out after rejecting the bail money. If you look at caylee ’s last video of her sitting on her great-grandfathers lap she looks scared as if she was being traumatized by someone(casey). George being suicidal, nice diversion from the case but didn’t work. You know what sickens me more is they will eventually make a movie on the case( look at the natalie halloway case). Thank god for the media LOL. The more they publicize it on Nancy Grace the more of a story it becomes. Oh and Nancy will orobably want a piece of the pie too, that’s journalism for you. I hope the authorities make their work well because the death of Caylee Anhtony should be clarified, not alone for the beautiful girl Caylee, but for us that we need to know that the authorities are working for the security of all us especially for our children and to finish once and for all with all this and if the mother is guilty that she receives her punishment together with their accomplices if she has some.. I am a mother worried by the well-being of our children that they are so defenseless but they are not alone it is necessary to fight to defend them.

In order to convict Casey the prosecution has to prove motive and opportunity.
since Casey has caylee in her possession much of the time there was opportunity.
What I don’t get is motive. The fact that LE has found someone in the house searched google for household weapons and chloroform doesn’t prove it was casey. further her friends said she had a laptop and would use it when she went to their homes. Mostly she was looking at facebook and my space. you would think she would use her own computer laptop for searching for “household weapons” The searches were done sometime in march. Casey met the boyfriend tony in may and hooked up with him in june.
From what I have read about the boyfriend he was not critical about caylee and never said that caylee stood in the way of any relationship between them. (this was the case in the susan smith child murders) Also I have a friend whose marriage broke down and her new partner said he wasn’t interested in bringing up another man’s kids. she made all sorts of excuses why she let her first husband keep the kids even though i think he was the least equiped to bring up kids and inspire them.
Murder is something you do when you get desperate. From all the video footage I have seen Caylee was much loved. Casey had wanted to give the baby up for adoption but Cindy pursueded her to keep it. Casey could be sure that her parents would have looked after Caylee. She was not desperate.
I don’t think even with a body found that they will be able to convict Casey of murder. perhaps manslaughter. some accidental killing of Caylee. sometimes adults do lash out at the closest thing (which unfortunately happens to be a child) when they are angry with their spouse, say.
Casey certainly lies and the fact that her friends and family are aware that she lies means she isn’t so good at it. I can conceive of a child being left unattended in a hot car and dieing. what I don’t understand with the findings of the body was there was duct tape over her mouth and a heart sticker. the duct tape doesn’t match any duct tape in the anthony home. a heart sticker means that someone that left her like that had some affection towards her. (or it is the MO of a serial killer) She must have been alive for some time but the duct tape makes it seem like she was kidnapped…..or a very elaborate cover up.
the comments by cindy and casey that were recorded by 911 with casey saying “just give me one more day to find her” is certainly curious.
I understand that the cadaver dogs alerted to the garden and the boot of the car. since then the carpet in the car has been analysed and it proves that certain substances consistent with human decomp were found. does anyone know if the dogs can distinguish between human decomp and animal decomp? it seems weird if casey did kill her daughter that she would bury her in the backyard.
also does anyone know how long it takes for the decomp to reach a level that the dogs can pick up the smell?
If i went on just what has been released by LE I think that Casey is guilty.
If she was driving with the smell in the car the first thing if I had killed my child and stuck her in the boot would be to get rid of the body. I wouldn’t ride around for days with the body there. I wouldn’t pick up people in the car. So the fact that she did in fact drive her friend and said that someone must have hit a squirrel gives me the feeling that she didn’t know the body was there. could you imagine finding your child in the boot of your car? Imagine though if she got in over her head about something.

Unforntunately, we all know now that Casey murdered her daughter. That poor child!!! I took this case very personally especially since I have a daughter the same age as Caylee. I lost many nights of sleep crying. It literally broke my heart.
Its been very obvious to me that Casey doped her daughtr up and left her in her in the trunk of her car along the side of the road. The car was towed with caylee in the trunk. Caylee then proceded to rot in the trunk of car in the Florida heat, in the hot summer months. ( Empolyees of the tow yard sstated the car began to have an odor only after it had sat there for several days)
The grandmother retreived the car from the tow yard and discovred her grandaugters rotted corpse in the trunk. That the same night the grandmother made the reports to the police department. If you listen to the audio the grandmother begins to talk about her grandaughter being missing and the odor in the car and then changes and focuses the complaint on Casey and how she had stolen her car and check books and credit cards, etc………
My main question is “were the grandparents involved in the disposal of the little Cayless remains or were they so adament about finding Casey after retrieving that car from the tow yard so they could make her dispose of the remains?”
Either way I am confident that the grandparents were resposible for recovering the remais of their grandaughter. that is why the were offered immunity.
I ask myself how could they, but I am sure that would be so traumatizing that no one could say what they would do in their situation……..eventhough we all know whats right……THAT WHACK JOB is their CHILD…….and by the time Caylees remains were discovered she was long gone…….

I too have read the above posts. Being unemployed tends to allow for alot of down time with nothing to do but read what we Americans think of one another. Truly, the bottom line is that we are all selfish and in the end, we are all alone. We are also not qualified to understand why certain people do certain things. From my point of view, Casey, although a major screw-up, still has it better than a guy like myself, aged 47, balding with yellowing teeth. Yeah, she’s probably a murderer and I’m a nice guy but in the end, if perception is everything, then I perceive Casey as a beautiful muderess yet she is popular and I never will be. That’s life! Get over it! Pure and simple. Plus, I thought Jesus said to love one another. I guess it is just easier to trample over your neighbor vs helping them out. Or by being nice to one another when you come into each others orbit. I’ll hold the door open for a 20-something black man who won’t even turn around to say “thanks”. Why is that? Do you know cause I cannot figure out what makes people do the things they do. Except that we are all selfish. In conjunction with the fact that we are all judged by what we look like, well, I know this much…if I was as beautiful on the outside as Casie, I’d go out and party too. But shit, I’d get a babysitter for my kid, not kill her or drug her or do whatever she did to that young child. But still, what really makes me sick is what if Caylee had been a small black child instead of a beautiful white girl, would America be so inclined to be sad then? Don’t kid yourselves people, we are all heading down a road we don’t want to be on but seem unable to get off. I choose to stay at home, alone, because people have let me down time and time again. It matters neither whether I am following certain patterns or meeting with new folk, in the end, love counts for shit and unfortunately, money is what makes this world go round. Money and power. There are those who have it, and then there is the rest of us, looking to fill our lives with meaningless objects which in the end mean nothing. True love means the willingness to be at the side of the person you love no matter what. But to understand the “why” of something, no chance!!
I am not a religious person but I believe that it is time for our race to end. Even though many innocent lives will be lost I think that there are too many monsters here with us. How could you smile for a camera when your child is missing? Let alone knowing that you killed her. I have three children and I could not imagine hurting them other than dicipline let alone killing them and two of my children have special needs. Wd all know how this story ends and the death penalty isn’t good enough for her.
Hope we soon find something out though one way or the other. Who knows if they should be searching in a hurry to save Caylee or not? If I was Casey I would be telling them everything so they could find my baby.
I am a mother of 4 daughters. I have followed this case from its inception. It is inconceivable to me and totally devestating to understand and hear this story! I want so badly to sit (face to face) in a room with this so called mother and demand an answer from her “WHY CASEY, WHY”? AND, “HOW COULD YOU LOOK AT YOUR MOST PRECIOUS GIFT FROM GOD, LOOKING INTO HER EYES AND SHE INTO YOURS, THEN TAKE HER LIFE AWAY”? WHAT KIND OF ANIMAL ARE YOU?
