Usain Bolt 9.69 – Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt won Olympic Gold in 9.69 seconds, a new world record that could have been faster had Usain not celebrated before the finish line.
The Usain Bolt 9.69 world record time broke his own previous world record of 9.72 seconds set in New York on May 31, 2008.
In the Usain Bolt olympic video, you can clearly see him raise his hands in triumph well before he reaches the finish line.
Bolt’s teammate Asafa Powell, the former world record holder, finished a disappointing fifth in 9.95 seconds.
American sprinter Walter Dix won bronze in a personal best time of 9.91 seconds and Trinidad and Tobago’s Richard Thompson set a new personal best of 9.89 seconds to land silver.
