Knoxville School Shooting - Pics and video of high school shooting in Knoxville where 16-year old Ryan MacDonald died and the shooter was arrested minutes later while calmly walking home.
The Knoxville school shooting happened in the Central High School cafeteria at 8:00 a.m. as 16-year old junior Ryan MacDonald was specifically targeted and murdered in cold blood.
Knoxville chief deputy Bill Roehl said the victim and the suspect knew each other, “This wasn’t a shooting that was a random act.”
Roehl says the suspect was taken into custody a few blocks away from the school about six minutes after the shooting and says the murder weapon was recovered from the suspect.
Ryan MacDonald was transported to University of Tennessee Hospital where he died approximately 30 minutes after the shooting.
Police were alerted by the daughter of a deputy who called her father to report shots fired at Central High School just before school started.
