Autumn Leathers – A nosy neighbor alerted police that Autumn Leathers, a hot 24-year old teacher, was having sex with one of her students.
Police arrested Autumn Leathers after interviewing the 16-year old boy, who confessed to having a relationship with his English teacher beginning in May when he was just 15.
Leathers taught at Mountain Ridge High School, but now faces termination proceedings over her in-home tutoring lessons.
Authorities believe all of the sexual activity occurred at Leathers’ home, not in the school.
A search warrant was executed at Miss Leathers’ home on Wednesday evening, where police found other evidence that has become part of the investigation.
After reviewing her digital photos, investigators believe there may be additional victims.
She is charged with child sexual abuse, fourth-degree sex offense and is being held at the Allegany County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.

Yea right then why did she get caught because a neighbor called the police. Read the beginning it said noisy neighbor called police. Maybe you are a person that needs to get a life. If you break the law then you go to jail.

What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty?!? Autumn Leathers is a wonderful young woman, and this student who supposedly “confessed” to having a sexual relationship with her is lying.

well i know for a fact she was very “friendly” with one of my friends at our 10th grade retreat. she even grinded with another boy in my grade! that was when she was a student teacher. when she was given the power of her own classroom and control over boys’ grades, she was bound to snap. she’s pretty, why cant she get a guy her own age?

Wow- I know her! She grew up in my small home town (Springdale) and attened the same college as me (Slippery Rock).
Even though I do not know her personally , we grew up in a tiny town where everyone knows everything about each other. From what I remember about Autumn is that she is an amazingly kind person.
I really hope for her sake there is some huge misunderstanding. It would be ashame for her entire career to be blown away. I mean the poor girl is only 24.
I will not be like 90% of the people and assume she did it. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty.

I attended Beall (the high school where Mountain Ridge now stands) in the 1980’s. I don’t live in Frostburg anymore, so I just found out about this today.
What is the world coming to.
Teacher-student sex scandals were a yearly occurrence back then. Hell it wasn’t uncommon for a few of our teachers to occasionally show up at keg parties back then. Graduation parties were all but guaranteed to have a teacher or two there.
Anyone who attended the weekly Tuesday night dollar movie knows one of the athletic coaches made no secret about openly dating a number of female students.
I know of at least two teachers that married two of my fellow classmates within a year after graduation and 20 yrs later are still married.
In spite of the lives we and our teachers lived after school hours, off school property, we managed to get one of the finest educations available in not only the state of Maryland, but the entire country. I’m probably speaking for most of my fellow classmates of the 1980’s decade when I say that I have been routinely complimented and acknowledged, both personally and professionally, for my academic intelligence.
What an uptight world we live in nowadays. Talk about getting your chastity belts all in a bunch. jeez
The sad thing is she was probably a good teacher, and that 16 year old boy is probably boinking your teenage daughter as you’re reading this.

Its normal for that boy to be bonking your 16 year old daughter he is 16 also,the teacher is in a position of power and authority over the students,she is also more experienced in manupliateing a 16 year old boy ,has had more relationships,and is more skilled at preying on kids,A lot of kids figure if there doing the teacher good grades will follow,as then the teacher is in a situation,if she decides to grade him fairly and he has slacked off ,he can then attempt to force her to give him good grades,by threatening to expose her,Any teacher willing to put herself in this kind of a situation I sure wouldent want teaching my kids,you know why,Because obviously there stupid,and most of the kids most likely are smarter than her.

smal, you either speak from experience, or your entire comment is based on conjecture. The only thing in your comment that even comes close to resembling proven fact is in the statement “the teacher is in a position of authority”.
Based on grammar and punctuation, you’re in no position to criticize an English teacher’s “smarts”. “There” refers to a location, or introduces a sentence. “They’re” is a contraction of “they are”. It’s a common mistake, but considering the 4 year English credit requirement for graduating high school, when it comes to commas, periods, and apostrophes one could assume that you are speaking from experience. But that would be speculation now wouldn’t it?
