Latest update on projected Hannah path

The forecasted long-range track of Tropical Storm Hannah places the storm along the East Coast anywhere from Florida to the Carolinas as a major hurricane.

There is a strong history of powerful hurricanes coming ashore just after Labor Day, so keep an eye on the projected path.

As far as where Hannah will actually hit, the National Huricane Center warns in their recent forecast discussions:

IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT THERE STILL REMAINS SIGNIFICANT UNCERTAINTY REGARDING HANNA’S ULTIMATE TRACK AT DAYS 3-5…AND IT IS MUCH TOO SOON TO KNOW WHAT IMPACT THIS SYSTEM MAY HAVE ON THE EAST COAST.

ONE SHOULD NOT READ MUCH INTO SUCH SHIFTS OF THE FORECAST TRACK SINCE THE TYPICAL ERROR OF A 5-DAY PREDICTION IS OVER 300 MILES.

And that’s the latest update on Tropical Storm Hannah.
