Cynthia Horvath – A 45-year old Daytona Florida teacher named Cynthia Horvath – pictured below – was arrested for having sex with a 17-year old student and resigned her teaching position.
Teacher Cynthia Horvath is the latest in a long line of naughty teachers in Florida who have crossed the line on student-teacher relationships.
Horvath has been charged with Unlawful Sexual Activity with Certain Minors and is being held in the Volusia County Branch Jail on $10,000.00 bond.
The Warner Christian Academy teacher resigned after being confronted by school officials, who then contacted South Daytona Police, said Lt. Ron Wright. A police investigation indicated the sexual activity took place in hotels in Port Orange and Daytona Beach, Wright said.
The investigation revealed the teacher and student were engaged in sexual activity in multiple locations in Port Orange between June 2008 and September 2008, Port Orange police Detective Capt. Frank Surmaczewicz told reporters.
Daytona Beach Police also filed charges against Cynthia and bail was set at $10,000 on those charges.

Cynthia Horvath gets probation
A former teacher, charged with having sex with a 17-year-old student, was sentenced to community control and probation and will be branded a sex offender for the rest of her life.
Cynthia Horvath, 45, a former English teacher at Warner Christian Academy in South Daytona, apologized and said she was ashamed for her choices just before Chief Circuit Judge J. David Walsh sentenced her.
Horvath, a married woman with four children, pleaded no contest to unlawful sex with a minor on Friday for her affair with the teenage student.
The judge sentenced her to one year of community control, which equates to house arrest, followed by seven years of probation.
Horvath will be branded as a sex offender, which includes having her photo and address listed on the public database by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
The terms of her punishment include that she must surrender her teaching license, that she is not allowed to be with minor children except for her own, and that she is not allowed to drive alone.
Police investigators found that some of the encounters with the minor occurred in a vehicle parked at public locations, such as a Walmart parking lot.

Dang,She is a hot Teacher,that never happened to me when I was a student lol,Why is it if it was a Male teacher messing with a female student,they would string the man up for rape and all kinds of crap,,then he would never get out of jail,but when its a woman and a boy she gets a year of house arrest and probation,What a double standard,the crime is the same,just the roles reversed,she should be in jail for statuatory rape like they charge a man with ,and get about 10 -15 years like men get that will stop this teacher,student relationships from starting,also not only does the student suffer,but her family,she has 4 kids and a husband who now are scarred for life because of what she has done ,and today she is arrested again,as she got a slap on the wrist the first time and has learned nothing from it.treat everyone equal for the same crimes,black,White,male,Female!!!!
