Obama Wins North Carolina - President-elect Barack Obama won the majority of votes in North Carolina, according to The Associated Press after new counts came in on provisional ballots.

Obama’s win in North Carolina is the first for a Democratic presidential candidate since Jimmy Carter won the state in 1976.
The news agency says it declared Sen. Obama the winner after canvassing N.C. counties to determine the number of outstanding provisional ballots. The survey showed there weren’t enough remaining ballots for Sen. John McCain, a Republican, to close a 13,693-vote deficit.
Missouri is the only state that remains too close to call.
The North Carolina win gives Obama 15 more delegates for a total of 364 Electoral College votes.
