Butterfly Bra - A new bra by Jill Scott with a butterfly strap design in the back, seen in pictures and video below, aims to bring comfort to voluptuous women with its innovative design.

The Butterfly bra was designed by Grammy-winning singer Jill Scott and is part of the Ashley Stewart stores “The Butterfly Collection By Jill Scott”, a whole new brand of intimate apparel for plus-sized women.
The new bra from The Butterfy Collection features gel-filled shoulder straps and cups and a patented double clasp design in back that helps eliminate unsightly bulges beneath your clothing.
Available exclusively at the 220 Ashley Stewart Stores, the Butterfly Bra Collection is promoted by full-color window-sized posters of Ms. Scott in every store.
Aimed at the plus-size woman with a larger than average cup size, the new bra collection is also being promoted in conjunction with Jill Scott’s “The Real Thing” album and tour.

How small of a size do they make in this bra,my granddaughter is of small staue, size 10 but, she has a (dd) size breast.
May 16th, 2008 at 10:13 am
@ Elaine your grandaughter is not plus sized then so this bra will be too big for her.
Ashley Stewart sells womens sizes (14 and up) back sizes will be 40 inches and up.
Your grandaughter needs to wear full support bras in standard back sizes. Check Bali, Barely There and MaidenForm for bra styles labeled as Full Coverage and Full Support.

Butterfly Bra Price & Availability
You can order the butterfly bra at any Ashley Stewart store or place an order online.
As of May 14th, Ashley Stewart will be taking pre-orders for their “Butterfly Bra”, the bra inspired by Jill Scott, for $39.00 each and $8.95 flat rate shipping.
Available sizes range from 38 D all the way up to 44 DDD. Each measurement is offered in D, DD, and DDD cup sizes.
Color choices are white, mocha, and black.
Not sure if they make special sizes, but since they are offering the Butterfly Bra by pre-ordering or online orders only, it certainly wouldn’t hurt to ask.
There is also a “strapless” version available as seen below.

This is a great idea! I have had so many problems trying to find a bra that’s comfortable and that fits. I am a 46DD but I am going to try the 44DD just to see if it fits. Hopefully they run a bit large. Thanks Jill.

It is especially difficult for the ladies who wear F, G, and H sizes to find a good bra. I half the get the bra with adjustable straps with the clamp that stays put. It would be oh so helpful if this bra came in those sizes. And if it did, I believe it would save me from this constant back and shoulder pain. 38G

Why aren’t there butterfuly bras for 36C/D, sometimes that size breast depending on the weight of the person could be useful as well. My daughter is 165 pounds (13 years old). Should she have this type of bra for breast control and comfort?
Thanks.

I know the pain of being big busted and dealing with bra straps that have made actual ditches in my shoulders and under wires that poke and bruise. I am 46ddd but depending on the bra sometimes can wear a 44ddd. I solute Ms. Scott, I’ve always joked with my daughter that men must design the bras because they are so
uncomfortable and unflattering and that only a big breasted woman could design the ultimate bra. Sounds like it’s finally here! Thanks Jill and Ashley Stewart-please consider larger sizes.
June 2nd, 2008 at 3:07 pm
I wear a size 50DD and your bra only goes to a 44DDD what about the rst of the plus size women out here Jill.
June 4th, 2008 at 10:15 pm
how can i buy this butt bra.
June 6th, 2008 at 12:03 pm
I thought finally a bra for me, no more underarm pain, back pain or numbing breast pain. I felt so very defeated when I saw the bra sizes. I am a 36G one of the most illusive sizes in the world.
I salute Ms. Jill Scott and Ashley Stewart for this innovative step towards comfortable bras for the plus sized woman.
However, I also challenge them to include the special sizes E, F, G, H in the design even if only for a limited time. I think you’ll be surprised by the huge demand for these sizes.
June 6th, 2008 at 5:30 pm
Like most of the Ladies emailing in, I am a 48DD and my question is like most of them, what about Ladies that need a larger size? How long will we have to wait?
Ms. Jill Scott, thank you so much and Ashley Stewart for stepping out and bring reality to our world. But the Reality is we need more size ranges and cup sizes to be add. Please bring in the stores soon or online. God Bless you and May He enlarge your inventory.
June 7th, 2008 at 10:13 am
i agree with the ladies that wear a larger bra size. i’m between sizes 52 and 54d. i purchase my playtex bras through jms. please make your bras accessible to all.
June 7th, 2008 at 5:36 pm
why not in larger sizes? I wear a 48 I. Boy does my neck hurt. My shoulders too. There are ruts in my shoulders that are red and sore. I am tired of having cleavage. I want my boobs separated. No underwire, please. it pokes up into my armpits when i bend at the waist. I am tired of poor posture due to the weight of my bust. Help! I am not having surgery, no matter what the doctor says.

June 9th, 2008 at 9:30 pm
I would like to know from someone who has one, just how good it is. Does it support, lift, serperate, and stay in place like it should? What about putting it on? I’m not the greatest when it comes to being able to close it in the back and hate the close in front and turn it around.
Let me know thanks.
June 14th, 2008 at 10:51 pm
I wear a size 50 D and i do not see the Butterfly BRa in that size. and 50 D is (definetly) plus size
June 16th, 2008 at 5:16 am
Hi, I am a plus size that had a breast reduction. I am a 44 B now and still have the back fat and posture problem. Will you be making this bra in a smaller cup size? thanks, Jean Smyth
June 16th, 2008 at 9:00 pm
How do you get measurements to order bra? Or tell me
is there a store in Shreveport,LA.
June 17th, 2008 at 12:36 pm
I’m interested in this new bra, but the cup size is very limited. I’m a 42H. I hope, in the near future, the bra will come in larger cup sizes for the very ample figure. There is a market for real super plus sizes ladies. Bra manufacturers won’t be disappointed in the sales!
June 18th, 2008 at 2:03 pm
Hi…
I’m not a plus size; I wear a size 10 pant, but I wear a 38DD bra. With the bras I now wear, I get those horrid bulges in the back, and behind my underarms, that I hate, and the straps dig into my shoulders and hurt. Will the Butterfly Bra be good for me?
Thanks,
Diana Reed

I am a 52DD and need a front closing bra. I hope that you consider the issues plus size women have who are larger than the sizes you offer. I am tired of being cut into and still being raw under my arms from the bras I wear now the next day. Please help all of us!
June 22nd, 2008 at 9:31 pm
Iwas so excited when I heard jill spoke about this bra…but now - I may not be a canidate and am sooo disappointed. I used to be a 34H had surgery and now am a 34DDD+ and cannot find a decent bra…most F-H cups start at 38…remember me in your redesign. Thanks

I finally found this site that shows the back of this bra. Eight hooks in the back! Wow.
That’s a lot of hooks. Wouldn’t all that be rather warm to wear?
June 25th, 2008 at 2:22 pm
I was excited to visit your website thinking finally a bra my size 50DD, but then find that you don’t carry this size. There are alot of us women that are bigger than a 46. I mean come on I can find a 46 in a regular store. I can also find a 50DD but I was interested in the way your bra is suppose to hide back fat. So please for us woman who are bigger than a 46 make some bigger sizes it would be greatly appreciated I’m sure.
June 27th, 2008 at 9:36 pm
Kudos to you for your innovative bra. However, as others have expressed I need an H cup. Please consider making larger sizes even if they must be custom ordered. Heavy chested girls everywhere are counting on you.
