Giant Cow
Giant Cow – Chili, the giant cow pictured below, is one big cow at 6 feet, 6 inches tall and 2,000 pounds, so the Guinness World record folks are weighing his application.
The 6′ 6″ giant cow Chili is described as a gentle giant and the black and white Friesian bullock, pictured above with his handler Tara Nirula, is the same height as a small elephant.
Raised in the Ferne animal sanctuary in Charde, Somerset south of London, Chili the cow was abandoned there as a six-day old calf by a farmer who had no idea what a large cow he was giving up.
Good thing though, because farmers only keep one bull, and therefore most young bulls like Chili would have been slaughtered for meat before they reached full size.
Naomi Clarke, manager at the sanctuary, said: “As Chilli was growing up we began noticing that he was bigger than our other cows. Chili now stands at 6′ 6″ from the floor to the top of his shoulder and he is massive when he holds his head up. ”
“We have made an application to Guinness Book Of Records and we are quite confident he will get it.”
And that’s the latest news on Chili, the giant cow.
