American Idol Season 8
American Idol Season 8 – Changes are coming to American Idol when it returns in January for Season 8, including wild card finalists picked by the show’s judges and less airtime for those memorably bad auditions.
The other big American Idol Season 8 change is the addition of a fourth judge, Kara DioGuardi, as a long-term replacement for the ever wacky Paula Abdul.
Fox’s hit talent contest will open its eighth season with a two-night, four-hour premiere on Jan. 13-14 from 8-10 p.m. EST, the network said Monday.
American Idol will cut the number of weeks featuring nationwide tryouts from four weeks to three and will select more contestants from the Hollywood round to compete, 36 people versus the two dozen of past seasons, Fox says.
And that’s the latest news on American Idol Season 8.
